History
The early
evidences of the management and
executives division for the Office of
the President, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University are unknown. Yet, there some
documents available as
follows.
During
1937-1957, the university was then
‘Suan Sunandha School’ and
the top executive was the headmaster.
There was no evidence for the corporate
allocation, but the managing agreement
was divided to properly suit the school
system. Heads of each departments
followed in seniority and
individual’s abilities. The core
management is at the “Head
Office”, which located at the
ground floor of Kannaponpipattana
Building (Building 11). The building is
currently demolished for
rebuilding.
Later in
1958, the Ministry of Education raised
the status of Suan Sunandha Widhayalai
to Suan Sunandha Teachers College under
the management of Lady Krongkaew
Patumanon in the positions of the
headmaster and the special class
director. The allocation within the
management was improved, but the
administrative department was remained
to be called the “Head
Office”. In 1968, the Head Office
was moved from the ground floor of
Kannaponpipattana Building (Building 11)
to Saisuthanoppadol Building (now
Building 27) and subsequently in 1975,
the office was moved to the ground floor
of Aorraphanadisayasak Building (now
Building 53) and changed the name from
the “Head Office” to
“Office of the Chancellor”.
The Management allocation was officially
followed the Act of teachers college by
appointed the responsibilities
respectively from Documentation
Department, Finance Department, Vehicle
Department, Administration Department
and Personnel Department. In 2003, the
Office of the President relocated to
Hemvadipitak Building (now Building
37).
During
1992-1995, His Majesty the King
graciously changed the title of
“Suan Sunandha Teachers
College” to “Suan Sunandha
Rajabhat Institute” with his
signature and official act on January
19th, 1995. Followed by
Section 10 of Rajabhat Act (1995), has
allowed to change the “Office of
the Chancellor” to the
“Office of the President”.
By the Office of the President is
responsible for secretarial business of
the President and Vice President,
managing and coordinating with both
public and private sectors, drafting and
responding official letters, documents
publishing, administrating, personnel
work, vehicle registration, welfares
work and other businesses that are not
subordinating to any
departments.

In 2004, His
Majesty the King has announced the
Rajabhat University Act of 2004 in the
Royal Thai Government Gazette Issue
No.121 Special Section 23.1 on February
14th 2004. Consequently, Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat Institute has then
changed to Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University from June 15th,
2004 onwards. It was announced as the
new university under the
Ministry’s law with the subject
“The Appointment of government
services of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University 2005”, Page 52, Issue
No. 122 Section 20.1 and was effective
on March 1st, 2005. From the
Ministry of Education’s
announcement, there were 10 sectors of
the government services under Suan
Sunandha Rajabhat University as
follows:

structures. Thus, the Office of the
President has remodeled to 5 departments

Services 4) Department of Personnel
Administration 5) Department of Policy
and Planning and 2 internal sectors: 1)
Department of Finance 2) ASEAN Centre
for Education and Training. Moreover,
there are allocation of the
Office’s divisions based on each
missions.
